15 Canadian credit card welcome bonuses ending by November 4, 2026

Published October 20, 2026

Fifteen elevated welcome offers in our card database expire between October 31 and November 4, 2026. Most are bank-wide campaign windows — the whole Scotiabank personal lineup ends November 1, all three BMO cards end October 31, and RBC ION / ION+ plus National Bank Platinum end November 4.

Where these numbers come from: every figure below is drawn from our October 19, 2026 card-data snapshot (97 cards, compiled from issuer product pages, offer-terms pages, and third-party trackers). Values are estimates, not guarantees — banks can change or pull offers early, and "up to" values assume you clear every spending tier. Always confirm the current offer on the issuer's own site before applying.

The honest math on the standouts

BMO CashBack World Elite — the biggest clean haul. Twelve cycles of $40 on $2,000/month is a $480 bonus with no spend-tier gymnastics, and the $139 first-year fee waiver means the first year is pure upside if you can route $2,000/month through it. The catch is in the name: it demands a full $2,000 of monthly spend to trigger each cycle. If your monthly card spend is well under that, most cycles pay $0.

Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite — the simplest cash. 15% on your first $2,000 is $300 in cash back with the lowest effort of any offer on this list, plus the $120 first-year fee waiver. It's our data's top cash pick for anyone already spending $700+/month on the card's 4%-categories (groceries, recurring bills). One hard rule: Scotiabank excludes anyone who held a Scotiabank personal card in the past two years.

Scotiabank Platinum Amex — biggest number, biggest asterisk. Up to 100,000 Scene+ points (~$1,000) against a $399 fee is still strongly net-positive if you clear the tiers, but don't compare "$3,000 advertised value" against cash bonuses — that figure bundles 14 months of perks, not spendable rewards.

Fee-free quick wins. If you don't want a fee card: RBC ION Visa pays ~$100 for $500 of spend in 3 months — the easiest money on this list. The Scotia Scene+ Visa and Amex cards pay $50–$100 for $250–$1,000 of spend. These are genuinely free bonuses, but they're also small; only chase them if the application is worth ~$50–$100 of your time.

Skip unless you actually spend this much. BMO Blue Rewards World Elite's full 100,000 points need $20,000 in year one; National Bank Platinum's full 40,000 needs $12,500. Hitting 70% of a tiered bonus usually means earning well under the headline number.

Eligibility gotchas worth knowing

  • Scotiabank's two-year rule: the November 1 offers are not available if you currently or previously held a Scotiabank personal card in the past two years (product switches count). This kills the whole Scotia lineup for existing Scotia cardholders.
  • RBC's switcher exclusion: the ION/ION+ offers exclude co-applicants, authorized users, and existing RBC cardholders switching products during the offer period.
  • National Bank's insurance tranche: 10,000 of the 40,000 À la carte points require enrolling in (and keeping for 3+ months) the card's payment insurance — a paid product. Read that tranche's math before counting it.
  • TD Rewards Visa: the November 2 offer in our data is tied to TD's student banking offer with conditions attached — confirm you qualify before counting on it.

What to do before these expire

  1. Check eligibility first — a two-year exclusion rule turns a $500 bonus into $0.
  2. Match the spend requirement to your real budget — don't manufacture spending to unlock a bonus.
  3. Weigh the bonus against the card's everyday earn — a $400 bonus on a card that earns 1% on your biggest categories is worth less than it looks. That's exactly what the optimizer is for.
  4. Verify on the issuer's site — our snapshot is dated October 19, 2026; banks can end or extend offers without notice.

We publish no affiliate links and take no referral commissions, so these picks are ranked purely on the math in our data — as always, not financial advice.
